Rather that labeling certain exercises “good” or “bad”, Do It Right: Exercise Evaluation reviews a process that personal trainers can use to evaluate the utility of different exercises for different clients. The process is designed to enable personal trainers to learn a technique to help themselves for the rest of their career rather than simply memorizing a list of do’s and don’ts regarding exercise selection. The DVD also stresses the importance of both variety and personalized programming to fit the needs and goals of a particular client.
Among the topics covered:
- Maintaining a natural or “neutral” posture
- Evaluation of the hurdler’s stretch
- Evaluation of the full-circle neck stretch
- Evaluation of the toe touch and windmill stretch
- Evaluation of the side-lying leg lifts
- Coaching pointers
